What is Microblading?

Microblading is an innovative new technique that is a semi-permanent solution to sparse over plucked, over waxed and thinning eyebrows. A microblading treatment is ideal to cover up scars and gaps, define shape, create an arch and fill in the eyebrows. This method is ideal for anyone wanting to enhance the look of their eyebrows.

The microblading results are natural looking, hair-like strokes, regardless of the amount of hair present. Micro blading is done using a very fine disposable blade to deposit pigments into the epidermis. More superficial than tattooing and impacting color closer to the top skin surface, strokes appear and remain crisp and extremely fine.

The Microblading procedure is perfect for both men and women. The results can last up to 12 months, depending on different factors affecting the procedure. However, a touch up once a year is recommended to retain the shape and saturation of pigment

Why should you try Microblading?

FAQ's

What are the main advantages of Microblading?
  • The Microblading procedure is less painful and is done faster than with a machine. The main reason why clients feel less pain is because with the manual tool we only draw once. To achieve the result with the machine it is drawn several times on the same place
  • A very natural result is achieved
  • A machine is not used for this procedure
  • It does not look like a usual tattoo as hairs are “drawn” in natural direction
  • Pigment used does not change color, but slowly fades instead
Microblading Treatment Steps
  1. Client consultation, discussion about treatment steps, choosing eyebrow shape and color
  2. Eyebrow shape is done with a special waterproof pencil
  3. 20-30min numbing process
  4. Pigment is applied with a microblading tool and chosen pigment color or color mix
  5. Cleaning of the area and applying special healing cream
  6. Treatment usually lasts up to one hour and a half
  7. Photos of your eyebrows will be taken before and after the procedure.
How long does Microblading last?

Microblading is a semi-permanent brow procedure that lasts about a year. Everyones skin is different, it very much depends on your own skin type, texture and oiliness. Microblading heals about 50% lighter. No guarantee can be made that a specific client will benefit the same as another from this procedure.

How long does the Microblading procedure take?

An hour and a half. The consultation is part of your appointment. Photos will be taken before and after the treatment.

Before Treatment Precautions
  • Do not drink coffee, alcohol or any type of energizing drinks
  • Do not tint your eyebrows
  • No tanning or sun bathing 2-3 days before treatment
  • No waxing before treatment 2-3 days before treatment
  • No chemical peels, dermabrasion, mesotherapy, or any other treatments
  • No botox, do microblading first and botox after 4 weeks if possible
  • Getting a procedure during your menstrual cycle can make you hyper-sensitive at the procedure site.
Care after Treatment
  • Avoid sleeping on your face for 7 days after the microblading procedure.
  • No Sun, sweating, or tanning after the procedure for 7 days.
  • Avoid direct shower water on the treated area after the procedure. Apply Vaseline prior to showering to prevent soaps and shampoos from getting on the treated area.
  • No swimming until the area is completely healed, salt water/chlorine can cause the pigments to fade or change in color.
  • Only touch the treated areas with clean hands. Do not rub, scratch or pick treated area. Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate off. Picking can cause scarring and loss of hair strokes.
  • Over the next couple of days, your tattoo will look good and any redness should go away. Then you will notice that it will start to look duller and can even form a little white haze to it. You may see some scabbing form as well, or mild flaking. This is all normal.
How long does the Healing take?

5-7 days. Everyone’s skin is different. Although eyebrow Microblading is effective in most cases, no guarantee can be made that a specific client will benefit from the procedure. Color intensity will be darker immediately after the procedure, the darkness will subside and become softer as the skin heals. About 2-3 days you will be darker and your brows will feel slightly larger, followed by some possible flaking and possibly some undesirable scabbing. Generally, the results are excellent but it very much depends on your skin texture, oiliness etc. Your new semi-permanent eyebrow will go through several phases during the healing cycle. The color of the pigment will soften gradually. This might give you the impression that the color pigment is fading too quickly, however, this is just superficial color and dry skin being naturally removed from your eyebrows.

Does Microblading Hurt?

Not really. I’t just slightly uncomfortable, but definitely worth it.

How to choose Color?

We have a huge variety of colors and use organic pigment.

What are the Main Pigment Fading factors?
  • Scab will appear and pigment will fall of with the scab
  • Oily skin type/ metabolism/ big pores
  • Chemical treatment (peels, dermabrasion, mesotherapy, laser)
  • Glycol, retinol products or/and treatments
  • Amount of melanin in the skin
Microblading Touch Ups

Everyone’s skin is different. Allow a week to settle. The color of the pigment will soften gradually. Microblading Touch Ups are booked when booking your initial session just in case you need one. Generally the results are amazing but it very much depends on your own skin type, texture and oiliness.

Allergies

Numb cream contains Lidocaine. So if you have Lidocaine allergy be advised you will have to do the procedure with no numbing.

Microblading During Pregnancy

You cannot have this treatment done if you are pregnant or breast-feeding due to the numbing and possible stress during the procedure or breast feeding.

We strongly recommend not having a microblading in the following cases

  • During pregnancy or nursing
  • If you are very sensitive or pain intolerant

  • If any skin diseases symptoms or irritation appears on the particular area

  • Have Thyroid/graves disease (medication may cause pigment to not retain properly)
